Student Beaten Up in Class

ATLANTA (WAOK)-A Westlake High School students mother is outraged over a vicious beating her son suffered while in class on Monday. The mother only identified as “Meredith” says  after her son was beaten school officials left her son unattended for 40 minutes and called her to take him to the hospital.

Meredith says her son was beaten up by four  students. The fight was broken up by other students after several minutes. Merediths son now has a broken nose, a metal plate in his jaw and his teeth are wired shut.

Fulton County School police now have video of the attack. The attackers have been identified as three ninth graders and one 10th grader. All four have been suspended and are expected to face battery charges.

The injured student is expected to remain at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for another three days.

The boy who was attacked who’s name i guess i cant say was messing with this girl in the glass so one of the boys who attacked him saw him doing that and told him to stop the victim didn’t so he was attacked.

there is no excuse for this type of violence, I don’t care if they “told him to stop”, unless he was physically assaulting the girl then this is unforgivable. You make it sound like this was justified in some way, like it was the victim’s fault. If that’s the case you are no better than the animals who did this.

‘there is no firm reason to anticipate that the intellectual capacities of peoples geographically separated in their evolution should prove to have evolved identically. Our desire to reserve equal powers of reason as some universal heritage of humanity will not be enough to make it so.’

      Well put.

The mother who’s son was attacked so viciously needs to sue the school for negligence. SOMEONE should have called 911, as well. No one bothered. Maybe through a lawsuit, these schools will finally wake up that they have to have guts or get the heck out of the school business. Kids have been entrusted to their care.
