Sexually abused eight boys in 15 years…
Well at least those are the allegations that former Penn State Defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky is currently facing. Sandusky is being accused of giving the alleged victims all type of things ranging from snowboards to marijuana, charges that Sandusky is of course denying.
I don’t want to prosecute Coach Sandusky but, usually where there’s smoke there’s fire and if these charges had no merit two top Penn State officials would not have stepped down from their positions after being charged with perjury.
PSU Athletic Director Tim Curley and Gary Schultz the school’s senior vice president for business and finance are set to surrender to authorities this morning on allegations they failed to alert police, as required by state law in regards to the sexual abuse claims against Sandusky.
Curley, has requested administrative leave so he can focus on his defense. Schultz, will go back into retirement.
Both men say they are innocent of any wrongdoing in connection with the probe into whether Sandusky eight boys over 15 years.
Coach Joe Paterno released a statement through his son saying he’s shocked by the sexual abuse charges brought against his former defensive coordinator and is deeply saddened by the allegations.
Paterno in a statement issued by his son, Scott, said he’s troubled that someone he thought he knew may have harmed young people. Paterno says specific actions alleged to have occurred in the grand jury report were not relayed to him and he understands people are angry, but asked to also let the legal process unfold.
