Douglasville, Ga. (WAOK)-On the one year anniversary of the death of Bobby Tillman, his mother Monique Rivarde prepares to spend the day with family and friends. Ms. Rivarde told WAOK that it is still very painful to remember the death of her son. Rivarde said it’s hard to believe it has been a year since her son Bobby lost his life because of a random act of bullying outside of a teen party in Douglasville. She talked to us about her anti-bullying campaign and how she remembers her son.
Tillman was beaten to death for merely being the next male to walk down the street after another teen had been hit by a female.
Four teens are now in jail in Douglas County facing the death penalty in Tillman’s death.
