Here are the standings and outlook for the teams in the Northern Divisions of the NFL:

AFC North

4th Place Cleveland Browns 3-4, 0-1 in the Division:

Pros:      The Defense is playing lights out, only giving up 20 points a game, 300 yards a game, including only 171 yards in the air, Cons:  They cannot score but 15 points a game and the running game is horrible, only rushing for about 88 yards a game, Final prediction:  Last place in the Division.

3rd Place Baltimore Ravens 5-2, 1-0 in the Division:

Pros:      Defense is always solid, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in every major statistical category, Cons:  Offense is solid but tends to self-destruct in clutch situations, Joe Flacco must be consistent, Final prediction:  They win the Division.

2nd Place Cincinnati Bengals 5-2, 1-0 in the Division:

Pros:      Scoring 24 points a game which is 12th in the league, while only giving up 17.  Defense is playing greater than expected, in the top-10 in major categories, Cons:  The offense is young and going through growing pains.  Must get the rushing and passing numbers up to compete in this tough division, Final prediction:  Good effort but not their year just yet, they finish 3rd in the Division.

1st Place Pittsburgh Steelers 6-2, 0-1 in the Division:

Pros:      Defensively solid as usual, only giving up 171 yards through the air a game, great balance on offense as Ben Roethlisberger is playing out of his mind, Cons:  Still susceptible to the vertical game, seems to have a hard time with other balanced offensive teams, Final prediction:  They finish 2nd in the Division.

NFC North

4th Place Minnesota Vikings 2-6, 0-3 in the Division:

Pros:      Can rush the football behind Adrian Peterson, 3rd in the league, Defensively, only giving up 94 yards rushing, Cons:  Now starting a young QB in Christian Ponder and 29th in the league in passing yards, Final prediction:      They stay in the bottom of the Division!

3rd Place Chicago Bears 4-3, 1-2 in the Division:

Pros:      Matt Forte is an absolute beast leading the team in both rushing and receiving, defense is still solid in that Tampa-2 scheme, Cons:  Offensive line still cannot protect Jay Cutler enough to completely run this Mike Martz offense and……Matt Forte is leading in receiving, enough said, Final prediction:  Get comfortable in this position, you stay here.

2nd Place Detroit Lions 6-2, 2-0 in the Division:

Pros:      Matt Stafford has stayed pretty healthy leading to an awesome connection with Calvin Johnson, Defensive front four is mean, nasty, and what you want for pass rush, Cons:  Running game is not up to par along with the back seven of the defense, Final prediction:  They stay in second place.

1st Place Green Bay Packers 7-0, 2-0 in the Division:

Pros:      Aaron Rodgers is at the top of his game and directing the offense with the precision of a surgeon, Cons:  This Dom Capers Defense is not performing as well as last year’s squad, must improve in the clutch, Final prediction:  They win the Division with one loss in the regular season.
