Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant isn’t the only NBA player Shaquille O’Neal is reportedly opening up about in his new book. According to the “Cleveland Plain Dealer,” O’Neal says in “Shaq Uncut: My Story” that LeBron James was able to, quote, “do whatever he wanted to do” while he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers because no one wanted him to leave the team. James, who famously left town to join the Miami Heat, and O’Neal were teammates in Cleveland during the 2009-10 season.
O’Neal also claims that former Cavs head coach Mike Brown had to “live on edge because nobody was supposed to be confrontational with LeBron.” Whenever the NBA returns to action, Brown will be in his first season as head coach of the Lakers. O’Neal says he isn’t sure if Bryant will listen to Brown because he claims LeBron “never really did.” The NBA regular season was supposed to begin November 1st, but the ongoing lockout has forced the cancellation of all the games that were scheduled in November.
