ATLANTA (WAOK)-The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) 33rd Annual Conference and Exposition themed “Power-Up Your Profit-Ability,” will begin Tuesday October 4th and end on Saturday, October 8th, 2011.
The conference is designed to highlight the association’s core channels, Education, Career, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Lifestyle to assist participants in catapulting their career, business and personal brand to the next level.
The Career Expo will be held on Thursday, October 6th and Friday, October 7th, where it will feature theNBMBAACareerSuccessNetworkCenter and Employment Network and provide participants with resources such as resume and interview preparation to help job seekers stand out in the crowded job market.
More than 300 Fortune 1000 companies, non-profits and universities will be looking to hire MBA graduates, seasoned professionals, and interns for available positions across the country. Interviews and on the spot offers will be made!
Roland Martin will moderate the annual Town Hall meeting, “Will the Real Role Models Please Stand Up?” on Thursday, October 6th. The guest panel includes Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum president ofSpelmanCollege, Terrance Williams from Nationwide, Ashton Clark youth leader and entrepreneur, and actor Laz Alonzo. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is a must.
The conference will also have some very exciting nightlife and lifestyle events including Club Jazz, MBA LIVE which will be hosted by Laz Alonzo and the legendary Chaka Khan will headline the Friday night sold out concert.
