SACS Back To Look At APS

A team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is back to examine the changes made by the Atlanta Public Schools, which was placed on probation last year.
SACS is the agency that regulates accreditation for the Alanta School District which was put on probation after tension among members of the Atlanta School Board intensified, in light of the recent cheating scandal, that implicated nearly 200 teachers and educators. The team will look at the changes and interview administrators over the next several days to see if the six directives, given to the school board have been met. SACS is expected to have a decision on the probation status in the next 30 days.
