Tropical Storm Lee hit the Georgia area hard on Labor Day much like Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast last weekend causing extensive damage. If you suffered damages from these weather systems, you may qualify for tax breaks.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance explains how you may qualify for a tax break to offset severe weather costs that aren’t covered by your insurance. The Georgia Insurance Commissioner has not released an estimate on damage from Tropical Storm Lee.
