Alpharetta Eases Alcohol Restrictions

ATLANTA (WAOK)-The Alpharetta City Council approved a proposal Monday night that eases restrictions on outdoor consumption of alcohol. The new ordinance allows the outdoor sale and consumption of alcohol at certain events. The ordinance passed the Council unanimously.

The Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association wanted the change to city alcohol laws in an effort to get more people downtown and help boost economic activity.

The ordinance goes into effect immediately.

This is the second ordinance that is “alcohol friendly.” In May, the Alpharetta City Council voted 7-0 to allow people dining out to bring their own bottle of wine.

Why not loosen the laws, have more people getting drunk and running over each other while the judicial systems will benefit tremendously from the hefty fines for DWI/DUI’s..When it comes to debauchery, there is always reasons to relax the laws
