The final major of the season tee’d off this morning as the 93rd PGA Championship got underway at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek. Tiger Woods will be playing in his first major championship since The Masters last April.
During yesterday’s press conference Tiger Woods talked about the uniqueness of playing at in major championship.
Several PGA professionals gathered around the first tee began clapping when Craig Stevens of Dallas hit the fairway on the first hole.
About that time, Tiger Woods was headed to the putting green to begin warming up for the final major of the year.
Woods is paired with Davis Love the Third and Padraig Harrington through the first two rounds. Adam Scott, caddied by Woods’ former bag man Steve Williams, won last weekend at Firestone. Martin Kaymer the defending PGA Championship winner, tees off at 1:15 p.m. Eastern.
