ATLANTA (WAOK)- The Atlanta City Council of PTAs is hosting a rally to “support the good” this Thursday, August 4th, from 6-8 pm in Centennial Olympic Park.

 The Atlanta Public School system including Superintendent Errol Davis, 32,00 parents, and 4,000 teachers and retired teachers are scheduled to be in attendance. City leaders and local organizations such as Mayor Kasim Reed, 100 Black Men and Women of Atlanta, Step Up or Step Down, the Georgia Coalition of the Peoples Agenda, and all Greek fraternities and sororities will also be supporting the event.

With Atlanta schools scheduled to begin Monday, August 8, community leaders are hoping to set a positive tone for the school system this upcoming year.
