Should She Have Been Charged?

The Redding News Review investigates the case of a Cobb County mother whose worse nightmare has come true.

Redding talks to Attorney Roy Miller  about Raquel Nelson who was found guilty of negligence after jaywalking lead to her child’s death. The mother and three children were hit by a man convicted of drunk driving who left the scene of the accident.

    Metro Atlanta is not pedestrian friendly when it comes to sidewalks, and proper crossings for pedestrians…This woman has been punished enough with the loss of her child, now they are looking at taking away her freedom and the rest of her children to become wards of the state…I hoping that Derrick and the WAOK family will be able to prevail, and this sister will be given all the much needed moral support and her freedom…
