According to the AJC, two adults accused of leaving a 2-year-old girl inside a Clayton County day care van, resulting in the child’s death, were free on bond Tuesday evening. We had the opportunity to speak with the Parents of 2-year-old Jazmin Green who are not only grieving the loss of there baby but having troubles funding her funeral. That’s were we come in. Being the father of a two year old son myself, the news of the death of this little girl really hit home. I looked at my son and thought to myself, “What if I received a call telling me my son was dead because of someone else’s negligence?” Moreover, I also have a two year old niece named Jasmine.

I was going to comment on the education piece but I am to choked up right now to think of anything to say.

D.B. after you made the call I immediately went to Willie Watkins to make my $100.00 donation. It was the least I could do to help this family in their darkest hour. My prayers go out to the family.

I feel your pain and i’m also very touched by what was done to this child at the hands of this daycare provider…I cannot see how you can take children from a mini van or bus and someone not go back and do a final walk through to make sure this vehicle is empty of all personnel and the belongings of the children…When I park my car, I sometimes will get halfway to where I was going, and would turn around and go back to double check to make sure my car was locked…I have a three year old grandchild and a three year old niece whom i’m very attached to, so I could feel the emotion and pain of what happened to this baby, I’ll call Willie Watkins and make my donation for this baby…
