It’s bad enough when a team that was expected to go all the way loses in the NBA Finals. And it’s bad when they lose the deciding game on their own home court. But even worse for Miami Heat fans was picking up yesterday’s local newspaper only to find an ad congratulating the Heat on winning the title they had lost the night before.
A full-page ad in the Miami Herald reads “Congratulations Miami” — next to photos of championship gear — you know, like the kind Dallas wore after they actually won. And to top it off, the ad ran under a story about the Heat’s loss.
The newspaper and Macy’s have both issued a correction and an apology.
