On today’s Powertalk w/ Lorraine Jacques White, Dr. Michael A. Grant, president of the National Bankers Association stopped through to give our audience a little history, hope and next steps for the profession of banking and finance.

“Nobody understands our communities other than the bankers who are in those communities,” states Grant, “because to the rest of the world, the urban communities are not a priority.” Such a statement only gives passion and purpose to a dynamic event that the National Bankers Association is having tonight!

Listen to the conversation and details here:

A special gala to honor presidents of HBCUs in Georgia and Alabama is going down tonight at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead. VIP reception is @ 6PM; dinner @ 7PM.

Grant says the highlight of this event is the presence of students from local colleges who will have the opportunity to learn more about the banking and finance profession and possible scholarship opportunities to help further their education.
