Kroger Launches Donation Program to Help Those Affected by Storms
(News Release) Kroger stores throughout the Atlanta Division are encouraging customers and associates to donate to the American Red Cross, which is providing food, water, clothing, cleaning supplies and other necessities to those affected by a wave of deadly storms that ripped through the Southeast on Wednesday, April 27.
Beginning Saturday, April 30, customers can “round-up” their purchases to the nearest dollar at all Atlanta Division stores – which includes Georgia, South Carolina, Northern Alabama and Eastern Tennessee. Customers can also make donations at the Kroger cash register.
“Our hearts are with our friends and neighbors in North Georgia, Huntsville, and across the Southeast who have been devastated by this horrendous natural disaster,” says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “Our customers and communities come together during times such as these, and we are so appreciative. Their generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of so many people.”
Donations can be made at all Kroger locations in the Atlanta Division, which includes, Georgia, South Carolina, Northern Alabama and Eastern Tennessee.
