Georgia Legislature Resumes Before Session Ends
ATLANTA (AP) The Georgia Legislature will continue talks about several issues this week before the session ends.
Monday starts the last week for Georgia Lawmakers to finalize decisions. Lawmakers will seek to resolve matters such as Sunday alcohol sales, the tax code overhaul and immigration. One of the group’s top priorities will be to finalize a budget for the upcoming 2012 year. House Speaker David Ralston says he expects the Legislature to make progress, but he realizes that jobs are a great concern to the people of Georgia.
This year’s session ends two weeks earlier than 2010.
