ATLANTA (WAOK) On Friday at 6a.m. Dunwoody police will be using Twitter the social media website to tweet every call during a 24 hour period. Police Chief Billy Grogan said the effort is to give people a sense of what his officers do on a daily basis. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that two Dunwoody Police will be tweeting calls but they will not let tweeting affect their work. The departments twitter account is @DunwoodyPolice.
Police in the city of Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs respond to 60-100 calls per day and they have handled up to 30,000 calls over the past year.
