New Water Commissioner For Atlanta

ATLANTA  (WAOK) The City of Atlanta has a new water commissioner. Mayor Kasim Reed has named Jo Ann Macrina as the new Commissioner of the Department of Watershed Management. Reed says Macrina has the experience of working in various management positions at civil engineering firms.  Macrina believes that she will bring a culture of high performance and excellent customer service to her new position.

Mayor Reed hopes that Macrina will turn the department around. For over a year the department has been dealing with complaints of over billing from thousands of City of Atlanta water customers. Reed said one way or another, the billing and meter problems will be resolved by the end of the year.
