Atlanta (AP)- On stage, Prince is known for giving his all to his audience. Now the recording star is also giving up some cash to make sure that some kids in South Carolina can make it through college. Prince has made a $250,000 donation to a nonprofit group that has the goal to make sure students in the Eau Claire area of Columbia, South Carolina can afford to get their degrees. The donation was presented by Prince’s drummer John Blackwell Jr., who is a native of Columbia. Prince and his group, the New Power Generation, performed in three cities in South Carolina last month.
