Sure it’s cool to have your picture on the cover of the most successful video game franchise ever but what comes along with it isn’t that great…
Is the Madden Curse Real??? I think so and it looks as if a couple of teams are finally taking it seriously.
Quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are not their team’s candidates for the cover of the 2012 edition of the video game.
A number of players have had lackluster seasons after their appearance on the game’s box, and some have suffered significant injuries including Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick could find himself back on the cover of Madden NFL.
Vick was on the cover of the 2004 version of the game, and fractured his fibula during the preseason.
This year, fans will get to choose the cover model with each team has a candidate in the 32-team bracket.
Voting will be done in rounds and conclude in late April.
Sidebar… I completely understand why teams fear the Madden Curse… I surely hope Falcons’ WR Michael Jenkins is Atlanta’s candidate…
