Former NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor will serve probation for having sex with a runaway teenage girl.  In a New York State court, Taylor was sentenced to six years probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender. 

A hearing to determine the level at which Taylor must register as a sex offender is set for April 12th. The former New York Giants star pled guilty in January to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute. 

Prosecutors say the 52-year-old Taylor paid a 16-year-old girl for sex last May.  The Bronx teen, who was a victim of sex trafficking, was present at the sentencing, accompanied by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred.  That could signal a possible civil case against Taylor.
