President Obama’s Latin Tour

President Barack Obama is on the second day of a Latin American tour meant to bolster economic and cultural ties. AP Correspondent Mark Smith reports on President Obama’s tour.

The president and his family took in sights in Rio de Janeiro. They visited the City of God shantytown that gained fame after a movie by the same name won Oscar nominations. At a community center in the heart of the jostling slum of 40,000, Obama watched a martial arts display and played soccer with some children. First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia got involved, too, kicking a ball around with the kids. President Obama is also keeping in touch with his national security team as U.S. ships and warplanes take part in the international military intervention in Libya.

The US needs to mind her own damn business..Who said this country should be the policy maker for the entire globe when she cannot control what goes on within her own borders…We have teachers getting laid off, and one million per cruze missile, with 120 of them fired in one day…It’s no wonder there is no money to build infrastructures, colleges, or social services…This country seems to think it is more constructive to build distructive weapons, rather than job training for the recently unemployed…When blacks were under apartheid in this country, could Canada decide to bomb the US to make her change her policies? Let’s be even handed with our moral outrage…
