Ebenezer Baptist Church turned 125 Sunday.

The church is symbolic with the civil rights movement. Since 1886 it has been a meeting place for black people interested in the advancement of their race.  It is also the church where Martin Luther King Jr. grew up.  According to former Ebenezer Baptist Church Pastor Joseph Lawrence Roberts, Dr. King transformed the church.

Representative John Lewis, who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom last month, was honored during the celebration.
