While the Braves get in spring training in Florida, MARTA has been doing some spring training of it’s own. Officials at the transit agency have been talking about the possibility of running the Braves shuttle this year after all. MARTA officials cut the popular service after the Braves’ season last year because of budget cuts.
But now MARTA has decided to hold public hearings at the end of March about resuming shuttle service and increasing some frequency of bus routes. The MARTA board will vote on reviving the shuttle service in early April.
The public hearings are set for March 21 at Roswell City Hall and the South Fulton Service Center, and March 24 at the Atlanta City Council chambers, Decatur’s Maloof Auditorium and the Adamsville Recreation Center. For more information, go to itsmarta.com.
