In a “post-racial” America (as some call it) is Black History Month still relevant? Are we living in a “post-racial” America? Do u celebrate Black History Month? How?

  1. Sista Soulja says:

There will never be a “post-racial” America. As long as the laws discriminate, so will the rest of the population. Black History month used to mean something. Teachers back in the day (I’m 49) taught about more than Malcolm X and Dr. King. We had quizes, television shows (non-sexual) that displayed pride in our history. Today none of that is true and it’s just a once a year label for the shortest month on the calendar. I celebrate myself therefore I celebrate my history and heritage 24/7/365.
