The NFL is offering five-thousand dollars to fans who were turned away from their Super Bowl seats. According to published reports, Commissioner Roger Goodell e-mailed the 400 fans to offer them the money.
Over 12-hundred fans couldn’t be seated at Cowboys Stadium after fire marshalls in Arlington, Texas, refused to certify temporary stands.
The NFL was able to relocate 850 of them, but 400 fans couldn’t watch Green Bay defeat Pittsburgh in Super Bowl 45.
Looks like the league is really trying make this thing right and I applaud their efforts.
Meanwhile, the affected fans have filed a $5 million dollar class action lawsuit.
