The lead investigator for the Atlanta police department raid on the Eagle Bar last year is on administrative leave after being arrested for DUI last week.
Officer Bennie Bridges was arrested by Cobb County police for speeding at Cobb Parkway and 285. Police say he was clocked at over 100 miles an hour, he was intoxicated and police say they found less than an ounce of marijuana in the car. Atlanta Police Chief George Turner issued a statement saying he expects all of his officers to abide by the same rules they are sworn to uphold. Bridges was released on a $1,900 bond.
