WASHINGTON — First lady Michelle Obama is planning to travel to Atlanta next week to talk about childhood obesity prevention and to mark the first anniversary of her “Let’s Move” program aimed at improving the health of children.  Mrs. Obama plans to visit the Burgess-Peterson Academy in Atlanta shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday and later she’ll travel to North Point Community Church in Alpharetta to discuss accomplishments in the first year of her “Let’s Move” campaign.

The Atlanta trip is expected to be a high point of a week’s worth of activities highlighting the campaign. Read more in this article from the AJC

    I am concerned why she is going to Alpharetta instead of the areas that supported her husband in the election. I feel she should have focused on those areas where obesity is the biggest risk and also where their support came from. One thing I can say about Bush is he knew his base was and he stuck with his base.
