Georgians are trying to recover after tax refund direct deposits were reversed out of their accounts. The result was over-draft fees and bounced checks. Georgia House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Mickey Channell believes the glitch could have been the result of the State Revenue Department doing something that was not authorized. Although the problem has been fixed, Ways and Means Committee member Rashad Taylor says the reason for the glitch needs to be investigated.
Refunds for the correct amount will be re-deposited.
