Jury selection is scheduled to begin today for the federal trial of five New Orleans police officers in connection with the post-Katrina shooting of a man whose body was later discovered in a burned out vehicle. Former officer, David Warren, is charged with shooting 31 year old Henry Glover on September 2, 2005. Prosecutors allege that Lieutenant Dwayne Scheurmann and Officer Gregory McRae then torched a car, incinerating Glover’s body.
Two lieutenants on the force are also charged with obstructing justice.
