Atlanta Public Schools received a serious tongue lashing from parents who are afraid their children may not be able to attend college after graduation.

This comes after the school system was warned by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, that unless the board resolves their issues by December 1st they will lose their accreditation. School Board Chair Khaatim Sherrer El says that things will be settled way before the deadline.

Senior Ashley Brown voiced her frustration about possibly paying for the school boards sins. She also said that the actions of the school board will affect 49,000 students.

Superintendent Dr. Beverly Hall has confidence that the board will get it together before the deadline.

A loss in accreditation also makes students ineligible for the Georgia Hope Scholarship.

There is something insidious that is being done to the metro school systems that are predominantly black. It was first started in Clayton Cnty, now they’re moving to Fulton Cnty and Dekalb is hanging on by a thread. We see there are patterns, with plans for the wites to take over the schools systems or make it private.
