Drunk Driving Director Damon ...Can You Say That Three Times Fast?

Former UGA athletics director, Damon Evans’ DUI case has been postponed. At the request of Evans’ attorneys, Judge Calvin S. Graves granted the delay after Evans did not show up for his court session on Monday.

Evans was arrested and charged with drunk driving after he was pulled over by an officer on June 30 for making an erratic turn on Roswell Road in Buckhead.

His $500,000.00 a year contract would have been effective five minutes later.

Five days after his arrest, Evans resigned.

His case will resume on December 7, 2010.

This is going to be a very expensive dui in more ways than just the court fines. He lost .5 mil a year contract, has to pay attorney fees, repair the damage at home with his wife, and the public shame and humilation that goes with this case. He will remember this disaster for the rest of his life, like he should. I have always said the white woman is the black man’s kryptonite. Lets hope any others who are involved in similiar situations, will extricate themselves before it goed public.
