Former South Cobb High School standout found dead!!!

Colorado Police say Denver Broncos and former South Carolina wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his home in an apparent suicide.

Police were called to McKinley’s home in Centennial on Monday and found his body in the second-floor master bedroom. He says detectives believe McKinley was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

McKinley played quarterback for South Cobb High School in Austell, Ga.

McKinley’s death is the latest in a series for tragedies for the Broncos since 2007. Cornerback Darrent Williams was slain in a drive-by shooting on New Year’s Day 2007 and three months later backup running back Damien Nash collapsed and died after a charity basketball game in St. Louis.

My condolences goes out to the family. This is very tragic to hear. I don’t know what could make someone want to shoot themselves. I would still investigate to make sure it’s not foul play…If he was having marital problems, I would look even closer to make sure he did shoot himself, and not someone else making it look like like he did…

you make an important view ” someone else making it look like like he did” my grandma always said – Black men do not commit suicide they just become alcoholic. Since they mention High School – does this mean he did not go to college, if not maybe he was forced to grow up too fast?
