Former Atlanta Police Officer admits he was paid to protect drug dealers. Now prosecutors say he could get several years behind bars.
Lucius Solomon, known as “Big Tee” by his friends, had worked for the Atlanta Police Department for 9 years before he was arrested last March in a federal drug sting. Prosecutors say he agreed to protect people he thought were drug dealers in exchange for $2,000. U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said Solomon provided that protection twice, while on duty, in uniform and in his marked patrol car. Yates described Solomon as the worst kind of cop.
Solomon could get up to 20 years when he is sentenced in November. You can read the whole story here.
