Local Author Tells Katrina Story 5 Years Later
Local journalist, Chandra Thomas who is from New Orleans recently dedicated a fellowship in Communications to investigating the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina 5-years after the tragedy. Thomas focused on Ponchartrain Park, a neighborhood of mainly African Americans where an aggressive effort is underway to bring it back to it’s former glory. Thomas told us another New Orlean native actor Wendall Pierce is spearheading the project.
