She apologizes….but…..listen to her comments for yourself.

Go to the 1:42 mark to hear Dr. Laura justify using the N-word! Lawd Help!

The Apology:

“I articulated the N-word all the way out — more than one time,” Schlessinger said in comments from the opening of her radio show that she posted on her site. “And that was wrong. I’ll say it again — that was wrong.”

She said she “realized I had made a horrible mistake, and was so upset, I could not finish the show.”

What do you think?

  • Ken Hargrave

Slap this Bitch where it hurts: Sponsors!!. The truth is that alot of black people don’t like or use this word at all. Young blacks and the Media really like to twist history and the truth to fit their bullshit. Those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

    • TJ

Ken are you kidding me!!!!!! “blacks people don’t like or use this word at all”. Have you listened to more than half of the Rap albums and every public high school.

      • NYTN

TJ, the mistake you’re making is the same one Dr. Laura made. You’re assuming that just because a person is Black that they are in agreement with the ‘liberal’ use of that word by others or cannot be offended by its use. And that is just ignorant.

  • TJ

    She spoke the truth!!!

  • NYTN

I will just say that in my opinion, the greatest problems with the things she said are her comments regarding the notion that all Black people think the same way. She did this in the following ways:

    • By her references to “Black think, this idea that Black people are not individuals, and are all controlled by some “collective consciousness”. Ridiculous.

    • How she spoke of comedians on tv using the word “nigger”, as if all Black people approve of the use of that word just because they’re Black. Also ridiculous.

    • She also said, “don’t NAACP me”, not only disparaging the NAACP, but assuming that just because this woman is Black she’s sympathetic to the NAACP. Super ridiculous.

Now, a Black woman called about her husband (who is White) who doesn’t speak up for or correct their supposed friends who make racial jokes and use racial epithets in their presence. QUESTION: What does any of this have to do with speaking to that issue?

The whole thing on its face is just wrong, and I don’t understand how you don’t see that.

  • Mary

If that is the only incident of her using it on that show it’s not what I thought. I thought she had used it to describe a Black person. I don’t like it but she wasn’t doing what Imos did in referring to a Black person as a “N.”

She’s an idiot anyway. I can’t stand her. The Black woman who called her is an idiot too! If your spouse won’t stand up for you——you’re the dumb one for staying married! I experienced this in my own family. I no long have contact with those people who don’t have my back! Life’s too short!

    • NYTN

Mary, you are absolutely CORRECT when you say, “If your spouse won’t stand up for you——you’re the dumb one for staying married!”. I just told someone the following on Facebook:

Jackie, you have a right to your opinion and to agree with Dr. Laura’s socio-political commentary. However, that IS NOT the issue. Observe the point where the conversation turned:

CALLER: How about the N-word? So, the N-word’s been thrown around…
SCHLESSINGER: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is nigger, nigger, nigger.

The caller pointed out that on multiple occasions, the word “nigger” is being used liberally by supposed friends/neighbors in the presence of her husband and her. Further, that it’s offensive to her, and her husband’s inaction is hurtful. Well, what comedians on HBO say has NOTHING TO DO with any of this.

I don’t care what you say — in an interracial marriage, NO spouse should stand by and allow racist or racially insensitive/ambiguous comments and actions by friends or family members to repeatedly go unchallenged. To do so IS NOT love, and is in fact COWARDICE.

Dr. Laura, you, and others are trying to make this out to be a socio-political issue, when it isn’t. It’s a matter of common decency, as well as love and mutual respect in MARRIAGE.

I did not know Laura was still on the air. She is an opportunist.

Every group has their own way of describing their own racial/ethnic group. I am in my 50’s the word MICK to an Irish person was as taboo as the N word, Kite to a Jewish person was being Anti Semitic, speak to any kids from this group and they look at you like they are crazy. I have heard white, oriental kids call each other the N word. We older people thought all this was cute, but never took in account – that WHITE and other kids were making these Rappers rich and by the time we took notice it was took late. My generation my circle of peers had NO Problem calling their children this along with you lit’le sh_ts and depending on how much the mama like the baby daddy had everything to due in how the child of the RAP generation was treated…. SOOOOOOO its smacking us back in our face…
Other races have their issues and words difference is they keep it in house…. T

Woo Woo Nice to read that A BLACK MAN KNOWS HIS -history
Back in the Day(1970’s) of Red/Black/Green ~ we had a magazine called the BLACK PAGES, in NYC ~ it seem once those older then me were able to get their state, city federal jobs ~ they forgot about “Say It Loud”, kicked out men when some liberal told them they could do better without them~~~~~~~~
How do you educate the women and not the men~~~~~~we are paying for this now….
It seems that once they Voted in Pres Obama, it was their open door to abuse us. I am waiting for this touchy fee-lie generation to realize Life is Not Equal

  • Peggy Lockhart

First of all, she stated that Blacks voted for Obama because he
was half black, not all blacks did, maybe because he was not a
Republican and maybe because this candidate was actually smart. Secondly, all blacks don’t call each other the N word, some of us were born hearing this term used as a hate tool and would never use it as a term of endearment. When talking to people on national radio or tv, don’t assume to be an expert because you happen to have a black body guard. I noticed she didn’t say a “friend” who happens to be black.

  • kp

wash her mouth with crap. I never liked her anyway. She’s just a right wing kike.If my white girl friends family or friends insulted me in my house I’d kick them out and she would be right behind them…

  • Anthony Hopkins

Why did she say that anyway? I really think that Dr. Laura should apologize to members of the African American Community on her radio show. That is if she has done it so far. I am upset that people like her is using this word on her radio show.
