Deal Will Face Barnes in November
Karen Handel concedes and says for the good of the Republican Party it’s time to support Deal.
It was a long night for both camps but in the end former Congressman Nathan Deal won the runoff for the Republican nomination for Governor. Deal will now face former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes in the General Election in November. Karen Handel who had the support of Sarah Palin held out until mid morning on Wednesday before she conceded to Deal. Handel has committed her support to help Deal win the election in November.
Barnes who watched the results closely on Tuesday night said his message is the same no matter who he will face in November.
Deal says after a campaign that at times became very negative with personal attacks he is ready to campaign on the issues.
The General Election will be held Tuesday November 2, 2010. Make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline to register is October 4.
