Wesley Snipes will serve jail time for federal tax charges.
Wesley Snipes is dealing with a bad review – this time, in his legal battle with the Feds. A federal appeals panel in Atlanta has upheld the three-year prison sentence on federal tax charges that Snipes has received. The appeals panel concluded this past Friday that the sentence for Snipes given by a judge was a proper one. His attorneys had claimed the sentence was “unreasonable.” They were also pushing for him to have his trial held in New York, instead of Florida. A jury convicted Snipes in 2008 of three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns.
