CNN host Larry King is planning a star-studded telethon for Monday night in order to help relief efforts on the Gulf Coast. The special edition of “Larry King Live” is going to be called “Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help” and will feature three different charities. Money raised from the event will help to rebuild the Gulf Coast, which has been ravaged by the BP oil spill. The three charities benefiting from the telethon are the United Way, The National Wildlife Federation, and the Nature Conservancy.
King’s famous friends taking part include Chelsea Handler, Sting, Tim McGraw, Kathy Griffin, Alyssa Milano, Deepak Chopra, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, Ted Danson, Robert Redford, Harry Connick Jr., Jenny McCarthy, Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Aaron Neville, James Carville, Mary Matalin, Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects, Lenny Kravitz, Ian Somerhalder, and Edward James Olmos.
