Come on Man…Are You Kidding?
NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested Thursday in conection with the alleged rape of a 15 yr old prostitute in a motel in Montebello, New York. The New York Giants linebacker who is 51, posted a bond of $75,000 to get out.
Taylor went from being a 10-time Pro Bowler, the NFL Most Valuable Player in 1986 and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986 to a man who has had several run ins with the law.
In 2001, Taylor was convicted of possessing drug paraphernalia in New Jersey.
In 1996 and 1997, he was arrested in South Carolina and Florida on drug charges.
In 2000, he drew five years of federal probation for filing false tax returns and for tax evasion.
His most recent problems have caused Nutrisystem to drop him as a spokesperson. This is a statement released by the company, “Based on the severity of these allegations, Nutrisystem has made the decision to sever our relationship with Mr. Taylor effective immediately.”
Both his lawyer and his wife now say it’s all a setup by the man who hooked up Taylor with the girl. Taylor could get four years in prison if convicted.
